Step 3 — Understanding the Order Process Week 2–3
- ✓Learn the 9-step ordering workflow
Every order follows the same process: Design → Cover Sheet → Custom Quotes (if needed) → Appliance Cutouts (if needed) → Pre-Order Review → Submit → Acknowledgment → Production → Delivery. Walk through the full process on the Ordering SOPs page. - ✓Watch: How to fill out the cover sheet
The cover sheet is the front page of every order. It captures your dealer info, project details, door style, finish, character technique, and finish technique selections. The Standard Order Form includes selection charts for character and finish techniques — make sure you complete these for every order. - ✓Watch: Custom Quote Worksheet overview
For non-standard sizes, special modifications, or unique configurations, you'll need to submit a Custom Quote Worksheet to quotes@wwinc.com. The form requires business name, customer number, wood species, color, enhancement/distress details, and a spec grid for each custom item. Quotes are valid for 90 days. - ✓Watch: Understanding lead times

Step 5 — Placing Your First Orders Week 4–6
- ✓Submit your first order for pre-order review
Your first 3-4 projects require a pre-order review before being sent to the factory. Email the complete order package (project file, cover sheet, order form, cutout sheets if applicable) to your Pinnacle Sales Dealer Success Specialist. Expect a 48-hour turnaround. Submit here. - ✓Review your first order acknowledgment
When WW Wood processes your order, you'll receive an acknowledgment email confirming specs, pricing, and estimated ship date. You have 1 business day to review and flag any changes. Mark corrections directly on the acknowledgment and email to orders@wwinc.com. - ✓Watch: Warranty request form walkthrough
Learn how to submit warranty claims when cabinets arrive damaged or with defects. Download the correct form for your brand from the Ordering SOPs page.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
These are the issues we see most often on first-time orders. Save yourself a revision cycle by checking these before you submit.
Missing character or finish technique on cover sheet The Standard Order Form has selection charts for character technique and finish technique. Both must be completed — WW Wood will hold your order until these are specified.
Wrong form for the order type Samples, standard orders, custom quotes, and warranty claims each have their own form. Use the Order Form Selector if you're unsure.
Appliance cutout dimensions missing If your project includes built-in ovens, microwaves, or warming drawers, you must submit the cutout spec form with appliance make/model and exact dimensions.
Standard vs. flush inset confusion Standard cutouts use a ¾" overlay front panel. Flush inset uses a custom panel where the appliance face is flush with the overlay. These require different forms — make sure you're using the right one.
Not reviewing the acknowledgment within 1 business day Changes after the review window may incur charges or reset your lead time. Review the acknowledgment the same day you receive it.
Custom quote expired Custom quotes from WW Wood are valid for 90 days. If the quote expires, you'll need to resubmit and the price may change.
